Creative Spirits CDC has seen it firsthand as our community gatherings Chicagoland families attend spark new friendships. Not long ago, a local parent stopped by one of our picnics, uncertain at first. She left with resources for her family, new friends, and a promise to help organize next month's event. Through our community collaboration programs Chicago residents experience, those who seldom felt heard now feel seen and valued. Regular neighborhood activities Illinois youth and elders share - planting a garden, leading a drum circle, or sharing memories - revive the sense of belonging many thought was lost.
